Mike Fitzpatrick

Mike Fitzpatrick has over 33 years in the financial services sector.

After a career in investment banking in Australia and New York with Merrill Lynch and CS First Boston, Mike founded Hastings Funds Management Ltd (‘Hastings’) in 1994.

Hastings was the pioneering infrastructure asset management company where he was Managing Director until he sold his interest in 2005. Hastings was then one of the largest managers of infrastructure and alternative assets in Australia, managing investments of approximately A$3.8 billion.

Mike was a director of a number of Hastings’ managed investments, including Pacific Hydro Limited, Global Renewables Limited, Utilities of Australia and Australian Infrastructure Fund.

Mike is currently Chairman of Treasury Group Limited, an incubator of funds management companies, and also Chairman of the Australian Football League. He also holds a number of other non executive directorships, including Rio Tinto Limited and Rio Tinto plc.
